Papua New Guinea Tour Part 3Description: Dust off your high-altitude STOL machines! This tour takes us to 56 airfields in the lowlands and highlands of Papua New Guinea, aka PNG. Papua New Guinea is a mountainous, culturally diverse nation north of Australia, home to over 800 languages and rich biodiversity. Formerly administered by Australia, it gained independence in 1975. Most people live rurally, relying on subsistence farming, with air transport the only alternative to multi-day hikes to reach medical and other services. The "Missionary Bush Pilot" YouTube series features pilot Ryan who travels the country in his Kodiak 100, resupplying remote villages and providing air transport.
