Airport: CYLW – Kelowna International Airport, British Columbia, Canada
Kelowna is a fairly small airport and likely one you haven’t heard of before. However, in 2018 it overtook Victoria International and became Canada’s 10th busiest airport for passenger traffic. It has scheduled service to major Canadian cities like Vancouver, Toronto, and Calgary, but also has a flight to Seattle and seasonal flights going to Phoenix and points further south to varied resort spots in Mexico. Air Canada, Alaska Airways, and WestJet all service this airport.
The runway is currently 8,900ft long, but is being expanded to 10,000’. The terminal is being expanded to a point that it will be nearly doubled in size and capacity.
