US GA Tour - Arizona

Status: Active
Description: Welcome to Arizona, coinciding with the other “4 Monument” states of Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. As with the others you begin and end at KFMN.

You’ll have an option to fly over a big meteor crater. Daredevil pilots can fly under the radar through the Grand Canyon and may even strafe the Glen Canyon Dam (see notes below).

I didn’t run into airport code issues so I think all airports will be found in all sims.

Note 1 –For the second leg, P14 to KSEZ… add a waypoint at the WINSLOW VOR (code is INW). As soon as you make the slight left turn start looking on the ground for the meteor crater. In FSX it’s rather boring but it may be more pronounced in newer sims.

Note 2 – Leg 12 (Temple Bar) begins the 5-stop run through the Grand Canyon. If you fly to each airport directly you’ll miss sections of it, so fly VFR between them instead. You’ll come out the far end of the canyon at Marble Canyon Apt (L41).

Remember many GA airports only use 3-digit designators. If you can’t find the listed airport in your sim, please drop the “K” at the beginning. This tour created by Steve K. (MAC0124) using FSX.
