US GA Tour - NevadaDescription: . .Nevada is one of our largest states yet one of the least populated. The majority of people reside in Las Vegas or Reno. With the remainder of the state nearly empty or designated as federal land this created long distances for a few legs and some needed creativity on others. . .Nevada has a footnote in aviation history as the site of the longest endurance flight accomplished by humans which lasting for nearly 65 days and was performed with a Cessna 172. Click this link to see that story! . .Remember that many GA airports only use 3-digit designators. If you can’t find the listed airport in your sim, please drop the “K” at the beginning. This tour was created by Steve K. (MAC0124) using FSX. . . Notes and/or Points of Interest: Leg 1, You start in Nevada’s capital city and the route has you flying over Reno. Leg 14, a straight line between points has you flying right over Area 51. Legs 16 and 17 allow you to fly near, over, or “through” the famous Las Vegas Strip. . .The midpoint (Alamo Landing Field) is just a dirt strip in FSX which may be hard to see, but this airport is paved in real life and may be represented better in newer sims.
